Our Crest

The overall blue tone that dominates the crest reflects the setting of the school near the sea, for blue represents harmony, serenity and a closeness to nature.

At the top right corner sits a six-pointed golden star, which encompasses the total development of the individual’s academic, physical, social, emotional, aesthetic and moral aspects - each aspect strengthened to a fineness represented by the points of the star.

Emblazoned across the crest is a stylised W, designed as a soaring bird. It represents purity of spirit and ambition to reach greater heights, serving as the focus of loyalty and aiming to foster a sense of belonging and pride in the school.

The School Song

The lyrics for the school song were penned by Mrs Jayam Narayanaswamy, the first principal of Woodlands Secondary School, according to her vision for the school. It was set to music composed by Mrs P. Abeysundra.

Pupil Creed

The Pupils' Creed was composed in 1999 by our very own Woodlanders, under the advisory of Mrs Rachel Deborah Ong.

I know there is something inside of me It’s what I call ability 
And I know I could do my best 
In everyday life’s a big big test 
And when the going gets tough 
And everything just seems so rough
I know that I’m not alone

Chorus: I believe we can conquer dreams 
I believe we can reach for greater heights

Woodlanders are the best when we unite

I feel there is freedom in my heart
